Natalie Du Toit Fulfilled Her Dreams Despite Losing One Leg

Tragedy can happen to anyone, as it did to Natalie du Toit when she was just 17 years old.

While riding her scooter to school, she was involved in a car accident. Sustaining severe injuries, she was rushed to the hospital. Due to the critical condition of her left leg, doctors made the difficult decision to amputate it below the knee.

Natalie Du Toit was born in Cape Town, South Africa. She is an exceptional athlete, known for her tremendous success in swimming, despite the loss of one leg.

Natalie’s passion was swimming. Her dreams were shattered by the accident that left her an amputee. Initially, she experienced moments of depression, but she refused to give up. Unable to stay away from swimming for long, she returned to the pool for practice after just five months.
